I remember vividly my first days as an insurance agent. I had a license but no experience. I had loads of energy. But again, no experience!

So I sent out a letter to countless business owners that read something like this: “I may not have all the answers but I will be accessible and I’ll work my tail off!”

Restaurateur George Pandl – from the old Pandl’s in Bayside – got one of those letters. He called and said: “Rauser, my agent is in Cleveland. I haven’t seen him in two years. Let’s visit.”

I was lucky to have George as my first client. He didn’t care so much about my lack of experience. He just wanted me to be there when asked and then fix whatever it was that needed fixing.

That became the foundation of The Rauser Agency. We strive daily to meet those simple expectations. In exchange, we earn our clients’ gratitude and loyalty.

George is gone now but it has been a labor of love serving people like him.

And so it is that since 1981, we’ve been privileged to work with hundreds of other business owners, insuring their fiscal fitness through attentive management of health care and employee benefits costs.

The Rauser Agency is located in downtown Milwaukee. Our team has grown and gained invaluable experience. Ironically however – thanks most notably to the complexities of health reform – we still don’t have all the answers! So, we supplement our energy and dedication with resources such as these:

  • The National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). I served as WI State President in 2006.
  • HR360 – our clients ‘On Line Human Resources Department’
  • MRA – The Management Association
  • Greater Milwaukee Employee Benefits Council

Over the years, we’ve also been active members and/or supporters of these community organizations:

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and live with my wife Sandy in the Town of Grafton. We golf, garden and live an active life. Still, my business is also my favorite ‘hobby.’ I’m particularly fond of writing ’30 Second Insurance Tips’ sent out weekly to clients and friends.
