Tip 12- The Eyes Have It

Research shows that after health and dental coverage, the next most‐valued employee benefit is vision care.

Yet only 5% of businesses offer vision coverage of any kind, employer paid or voluntary.

Some medical plans do cover routine eye exams. So a vision plan that offers coverage for both frames/lenses and exams might be redundant.

How about a “materials only” plan that only covers frames and lenses? That would address the needs of your employees who wear glasses and contacts. And save money, too.
