With ever increasing deductibles, not to mention other high health plan out of pocket limits, employers are also seeing an increase in workers comp claims on Mondays.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t believe in Easter Bunnies or coincidences!
Thus, I’m not surprised by the results of a survey of 600 employers of all sizes – conducted by Lieberman Research Worldwide on behalf of Aflac – that shows a high percentage of all companies (42% on average) providing access to voluntary accident and disability plans, report declines in their workers comp claims.
Amazingly, about 15% of all employers reported declines of 50% or more!
Makes you wonder if the employer would be wise to pay enough of the accident plan premium to ensure high participation.
