Once a year your health insurer raises your rates. (And we have the nerve to call that your “anniversary”).
Feel like “celebrating”?
On your health plan anniversary date, the new premiums are usually locked in for 12 months. But that doesn’t mean you are.
It might just be easier to create budgets or manage your finances if your health insurance renewed at a different time of year.
Perhaps an employee with a serious medical condition has just retired. Or a baby is born. The opportunity to successfully “shop” for new coverage may not coincide with your health plan anniversary.
You can change it. Just ask.
