Tip 233- Why We Do What We Do

When ‘Dave’ turned 65 a few years ago, we helped him select a Medicare Supplement policy. Based on his health history, we recommended Cadillac coverage.

‘Dave’ has been on my mind a lot over the last few months. That’s because the last time I saw him, he was just starting treatment for a newly diagnosed cancer.

Told Friday he was on the phone, I hesitated to pick up the call. More bad news?

Boy was I ever wrong. ‘Dave’ had finished a lengthy course of treatment and wanted me to know he was now cancer free and feeling great. “My appetite is back and I’m gaining weight,” he said.

The frosting on the cake was what he said next.

“I just want you to know Jon, my health plan has paid for everything. Knowing I didn’t have to worry about a stack of medical bills helped me concentrate on getting well. I can’t thank you enough!”

Actually, you just did.
