Tip 30- Confused By COBRA Complexities

As a part of the economic stimulus bill passed in February of 2009, Congress created subsidies for COBRA premiums.
Under the bill, employees who were involuntarily terminated had 65% of their COBRA health insurance premiums paid by the federal government for 15 months. The program has been extended several times but ends at the end of this month.

COBRA violations are expensive. The cost to outsource this headache is small.
