Tip #308- What Do You Think: Should We Laugh Or Cry?

On Friday, March 24th, 2017, the American Health Care Act (AHCA) crashed and burned.
Allow me to refresh your memory.
On March 23rd, 2010, The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law. That happened without a single Republican vote and only because, for a brief period of time, Democrats had a 60 vote majority in the Senate.
Even had the House passed the AHCA, with only a 52 vote majority in the Senate today, the AHCA wasn’t going anywhere.
So what’s next?
The individual market under the ACA is said to be in a death spiral. Rule making from HHS or, smaller less controversial tweaks to the ACA could fix that.
Major reforms however, just won’t happen until Congress puts our health care before political expediency.
Will there be a bi-partisan reform bill in our life time?
Only if We demand it!
