Tip #321- Do You Want To Be An Agent Or Broker?

We interviewed a terrific sales intern candidate this week, sent to us from our Mequon neighbors at the Concordia Business School. (Remind me the next time we talk to tell you about Concordia; lots of good things going on there!)
Our candidate had already interviewed with a local “Quiet (life insurance) Company” but felt uneasy about being a ‘captive’ employee tasked with finding ways to sell their product to prospects.
“I like the idea of independently working for my clients,” he said. “Then I’d first understand their needs and then find the best product with the right insurers.”
Smart lad.
You’ve just learned the difference between an agent and a broker. Welcome aboard!
Speaking of independence, have a special Fourth of July!
