Central to The Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act of 2010 is the creation of new health insurance markets by the year 2014 called “Exchanges”. States are encouraged to create their own unique Exchanges within certain parameters and must demonstrate their readiness to operate by January 1, 2013.
There is also to be a Federal Exchange for those states that opt not to participate.
Last week with much fanfare, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services unveiled a new website that, according to the press release, “gives business owners an unprecedented detailed review of their health insurance plan choices”.
The new website is located at www.HealthCare.gov A visit to this site will take more than 30 Seconds.
Still, a peek at the future of health care should be worth the time.
