Tip 46- Open Enrollment About To Sut…And Open Again!

Each year, seniors have the option to review their supplemental health plans and Part D prescription drug coverage and make changes if needed. It’s called the Medicare Open Enrollment period.

This year, the election period ends December 7th. That’s just a few short days from now.

However, company‐sponsored group Medicare Advantage Plans do not have open enrollment deadlines. Both your active and retired employees who are Medicare eligible can choose these popular zero‐premium plans at any time (their spouses can enroll, too).

That is not a typo. Premiums are $0, but setting up a group Medicare Advantage plan earns you good will from your older employees.

That’s a bargain any time of the year.
