Tip 64- Some Numbers Worth Knowing

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading killer of men and women; 935,000 Americans will suffer a heart attack this year.

Fundamental to heart health is knowing your numbers for blood pressure and cholesterol. Yet
surveys reveal that less than one‐third of people with problem levels even know it!

  • Optimal LDL, or bad cholesterol, is under 100
  • HDL, the good cholesterol, should be over 60
  • Your blood pressure should be less than 120/80

Take control of your heart health. Beyond saving your life, it could have an impact on another number we all seem to know; our health insurance premiums.
