For my birthday this weekend, my wife treated me to a manicure and my very first ‘deluxe’ pedicure. What a relaxing experience. (And yes, I was the only guy in the salon!)
In a similar vein, physical therapist friends have been telling me for years of the health benefits of massage; improved circulation, stress management, pain relief, even blood pressure control.
One visit doesn’t make me an expert. Just a fan! I’ll be back.
We need to lobby our friends in Washington, so that the obvious benefits of such services are added to the list of IRS Section 213(d) eligible medical expenses.
Then we could pay for them using Health Savings Account funds.
