Tip 232- Don’t Panic

In Tip # 218, back in May, I wrote about so called “Narrow Network” health plans that are able to convert more efficient integrated care into lower premiums.

In advance of this year’s Open Enrollment season – November 1st thru January 31st – we’ve been meeting with insurers to learn what products will be available to individuals buying coverage on and off the HealthCare.gov Marketplace.

Here’s a 30 Second heads up.

Not every individual policy will renew January 1. If you have a policy today that allows you to go to any provider, it is very likely you will be asked to renew your coverage in a narrow network plan or, seek another insurer. Letters to that effect start going out next week.

Don’t panic. There are options. Just not as many as in previous years.
