Tip 27- In Vegas The house Always Wins
I review a lot of dental claims reports.
What I find surprising is the lack of surprises. The numbers are remarkably similar from group to group.
‐ Average paid dental claim = $177
‐ Average number of claims per subscriber annually = 2.2
So if you have 37 employees, your total annual dental claims should run about $14,408 ($177 x 2.2 x 37).
If dental claims are so predictable, why pay for insurance? Even very small employers – down to just 10 lives ‐ should consider self‐insuring. Change the odds to favor your “house”.
And save a lot on premiums.
